Many have received numerous accolades in recognition of their academic and personal achievements. Below are some of our dancers' recent highlights.
Sky R. is gearing up for a month-long cross-country educational roadtrip with her parents. She’ll be stopping to see friends and family and is looking forward to taking in cultural sites and the vast beauty of the USA.
Veteran dancer Suhani J. went on a horseback riding trip with Horseability. She also participated in the Victory Games and a recital of Kathak, a classical form of Indian dance.
At her school’s basketball awards dinner, Glorianna J. received the Eight-Foot-Tall Award. She also took home the MVP trophy at the Nassau County Victory Challenge Games.
Natalie Z. earned a perfect attendance award at the close of this school year. Additionally, she received the student-of-the-month award in April.
Monica C. joyously celebrated her Sweet 16 among family and friends.
Mia S. and her mother were demos in a new initiative called MOVE (Mobility Opportunities Via Education) with the DOE & District 75. The program is designed to improve the overall quality of life for people with disabilities and the people who care for them. During the summer months, Mia will participate in an equestrian program.
Rising scholar Victoria A. was inducted into her school’s National Junior Honor Society.
Long-time dancer Rayhana E. received multiple academic awards this school year including an Excellence in Science Award and an Excellence in Social Studies Award.
Dancer Cait M. (far right) and her twin sister, Helper Allie M. (near right), were selected to be cast in A Great Big World’s music video for “Won’t Stop Running.”
College-bound Veronica S. was voted prom queen. She also modeled for Tommy Hilfiger’s fall fashion line.
Elizabeth B. graduated 5th grade.
Olivia B. finished her horseback riding program with Gallop NYC and received a Blue Ribbon award.
Nicole N. celebrated her Sweet 16 at a Roaring Twenties themed party. Her weekly Helper, Tatjana, was happy to be in attendance.
Angela T. participated in the Special Olympics, winning gold in the 50 meter run and silver in the long jump. She also completed her spring season at Row New York in Flushing Meadow Park.
Sara B. graduated 8th grade and looks forward to attending high school in September.
Lorin C. had paintings displayed at Artworks 2016 and was thrilled to have the opportunity to also perform a solo dance at the event.
Samantha C. recently celebrated her 18th birthday. She continues to enjoy rowing in Flushing Meadow Park.
